Sim Season Overview
Sim Seasons 1-13 were completed using historic teams, swapping out for a different year if a team finished with a losing record. I wanted to use great players from the past, but I also wanted teams to be able to progress from season to season (progression) like in franchise mode. So, what I did prior to Season 14 was painstakingly convert franchise rosters for 32 teams into historic rosters before initiating franchise mode. Seasons 14-19, six full seasons, have been completed using historic teams in franchise mode.
For Season 20, you will find that all the team rosters consist of historic players that have not retired since Season 14, and players that were imported and drafted from NCAA. However, some impact players such as Cam Newton of the Panthers were manually imported to make sure they ended up on the same teams as in the real NFL.
Also, during the past 6 season I edited in many of my friends into the NCAA Football game that have been drafted over to the NFL Sim. Here's the list....
